It is never too early to read to and with baby. They really enjoy looking at pictures and being read to. Plus, it is a great way to make tummy time more fun!
Here are our top 5 books for babies to place under the Christmas tree this year.
A POTATO ON A BIKE

This book has been a bestseller in French ever since it was first published. Little ones are raving and always asking for someone to read it again and again to them. So… what’s it all about?
The book that will have your little one asking for more and more reading is Elise Gravel’s A Potato On a Bike. Every double-page presents a very silly situation… think a cupcake on a skateboard, a fly on the phone… Everytime, the text repeats asking “Have you ever seen?” and “No way!” is the answer/refrain. Your kids will be shouting it out loud before you know it at every new silly situation.
But… how about a baby being tickled? I think the answer to that – and the book itself – is YES WAY!
A delightful boardbook that has been having us laugh out loud since day 1. My kids just can’t get enough of A Potato on a Bike. And I bet your’s either.

WINTER

This stunning boardbook is part of a series (Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter), all by Gerda Muller.
Beautiful illustrations depict all those special moments related to winter: the joys of shovelling snow, ice-skating, feeding the birds, and being cozy inside with the Christmas tree.
Without any text, this book (and all the other titles) are great for speech-development.
This is another of our all-time favorites.

THE NOISY BOOK

This has to be THE most read book in our house. It started out when my son was 6 months old (boy would he giggle when I read it to him!) and is still going strong on the favorites list since then. Both my son and my daughter enjoy it very much, and we always have a good laugh when we read it.

BLACK AND WHITE

This accordion style foldout book is sturdy enough to stand by itself, and it is just the right size for little hands.
This book is perfect even if baby is only a few weeks old, since baby can look at it during tummy time and while practicing to be on it’s side. Ours was used daily during my kids first months.
