SECRET BOOK STASH

Over the last few months, I have developed what I call my “Secret Book Stash”. What is it exactly and how do I use it?

At first, it was a small box. Then… a bigger box. Now… (Honey, do not get scared!) haha! I have two medium boxes filled out – ON A STRICT BUDGET – with books. One for my daughter, one for my son. These boxes contain books that I find at garage sales, church sales, charity sales, and a very few brand new ones that I just couldn’t leave at the bookstore. It is surprising how you can find good quality books at those kind of sales. My stash just built up here and there, a few books at the time, for only a few dollars (think about a quarter a book).

When do I reach for a book in my Secret Stash?
– Rainy weekend days
– Stay-at-home-with-flu days
– New season book rotation
– Special occasion (Easter basket, Valentine’s Day… even for the kids Christmas stocking!).
– For a treasure hunt
– Long car trip
– Vacations
– Etc.

I just really like having books on hand, ready to go if needed!

And with the cold/flu/virus season coming soon, I’ll be sure to check that my Secret Stash is ready to go!
